How do I get from the airport?

Puerto Vallarta’s airport code is PVR; it also serves the Banderas Bay area. Check GAP’s ground-transport page for airport services and confirm pickup instructions with your provider. An app’s availability does not mean pickup is allowed at every terminal door. Ask for the full fare and meeting point in advance; this guide does not quote a fare or promise a fixed journey time.

When is the rainy season?

Official tourism guidance describes a warm climate throughout the year and a rainy season from June to October. That is seasonal context, not a forecast for your particular week. Check current weather before water activities or a day trip, and confirm an operator’s cancellation arrangements if conditions change.

Should I bring cash or use cards?

Plan for expenses in Mexican pesos and ask your accommodation and activity providers which payment methods they accept. Do not assume that every small business takes cards or that a quoted dollar price uses your bank’s exchange rate. Confirm the currency and total before paying, and check your own bank’s international fees.

What number do I call in an emergency?

Call 911 for an emergency requiring police or an ambulance. Save your accommodation address and share a clear location with the dispatcher. Travel insurance and emergency response are separate: check your policy’s assistance number and coverage before traveling.
